As of May 13 the PEL is now available!
The word ‘Events’ is the overall term used to describe everything from Games,
and Painting Classes, Contests and Events, to the Military Seminar Series and the many
Tournaments, as well as other special events, at the convention. Events are arranged as
sub-topics in alphabetical order below. Clicking on any of the links below will take you
either to a web page or a PDF * file containing information on those particular events.
*Adobe Acrobat Reader® required to view this file. Download it for free from
Adobe Systems Inc
website.
Please Note: That no new events (games, etc.) will be added to the PEL – the
only updates will be for canceled events or changes to event days/times (these updates will
be listed as a separate PDF * file) – exception being adding new special events for promotional
purposes only. However, there will be more events available at the convention, which will be listed in
the onsite program. Don’t wait, pre-register for your games now for the best chance to get a
place at the table!
Clicking on any of the links below will take you to a PDF * file that contains
either the entire PEL or each day's events, in chronological order (if you do not
have Adobe Acrobat Reader, see note at bottom of this page). Note that the
PDF files are searchable, so you can find your favorite event, GM, or other
information, more quickly.
There will be full slate of
Tournaments
running from the traditional ancient, medieval and renaissance
to WW2 at HISTORICON – click on the link for Tournaments for details.
Since HISTORICON is the biggest convention with the largest attendance, there's no better place for
this convention highlight, a proper series of seminars on topics ranging from military and naval
history to theme related and miniature wargaming in general. For a full list of the seminars offered
this year, click on the following link for the

This year marks the “Silver” anniversary of HISTORICON, and all attendees are welcome to partake in the
free celebration! While final details are still being set, what follows are things currently planned for
this special anniversary.
Silver Anniversary Souvenir & Swag:
The first 3,000 attendees that are processed through registration at HISTORICON will
receive a free 10-foot long lockable metal tape measure in a silver plastic case with
the “Silver” anniversary logo (pictured above). In addition, some exhibitors
– Old Glory, Wargames Factory and Warlords – have already stepped up to provide
some swag by offering free figures to attendees (while supplies last). Make sure you arrive
early at HISTORICON, to get your free stuff!
Silver Anniversary Cake: A special 25th Anniversary cake is being made
just for HISTORICON by Charm City Cakes (of the Ace of Cakes Food Network show!)
This will feature the original “Hands Bridge” logo (pictured) – created
by HMGS East member and artist Rich Hasenauer – that was used to promote the first
HISTORICON in 1984. The cake will be on display Friday (and you might get to met
representatives from the show!); free cake will be served (while it lasts).
Silver Celebration Party: All attendees are invited Friday 9:30 PM to
the Windows Restaurant. Some beer and munchies will be provided (while it lasts). Due to
this very special occasion, various distributors – Kirchner (Yuengling/Sam Adams),
Lancaster Beverage (Coors Light/Heineken) Sheffer (Miller Lite/Lancaster Brew), and Wilsback
(Budweiser), so far – are all contributing something to the party, ranging from free
samples to promo swag (maybe the Yuengling Girls will be there too!) And who knows
who else might be there!
