Tournaments at HISTORICON
This page contains all the information on tournaments at this year's convention.
Join the massive and most extensive tournament program in North America! More than
700 games over the entire four days of the convention attract players from across
the continent and usually England as well. And if recent history is any
indication, there will be a night of semi-organized games and pickup chances
the Wednesday night before the "official" start of the convention.
This year HISTORICON will host Battlefront Miniatures' official
Flames of War (FoW) US National Tournament, which includes a final
qualifying round, as well as other FoW events.
If that wasn’t enough WWII, there will also be the new
Command Decision – Test of Battle Tournament
at HISTORICON.
The North American Society of Ancient and Medieval Wargamers (NASAMW) returns
with their annual National Invitational Championship Tournaments in DBA, DBM,
Fields of Glory and Warrior, while also offering a wide range of open and
thematic events in those games. Several NASAMW tournaments will be designed for
gamers new to the systems they play.
The North East Wargaming Society (NEWS) will run Doubles and Singles Warhammer
Ancients Battles tournaments, a Singles pike and shot event, plus a WECW
tournament and possibly additional demonstration games.
Speaking of pike and shot, the Renaissance Wargaming Society (RWS) will have
multiple DBR tournaments in 15mm and 25mm and is also looking to run
demonstration games or a different tournament format aimed at newer players.
And always look for Wargods on Saturday night!
The wide variety and sheer number of events plus complete details is too
extensive to list here, so we urge interested gamers to get the latest
information on the largest tournament program at HISTORICON yet!
